About us: Pageantchild was created in 2007 with focus being on child pageants and pageant resources. Since everyone is not too keen on pageants, pageantchild provides monthly updates to providing information and resources for all. Every August, the National American Miss pageant comes to Brooklyn NY. Housed in the beautiful Marriott Hotel in downtown Brooklyn the stage comes alive as GIRLS – all types from the ages of 4 to 20 display their talent(s) and compete to win modeling contracts, the crown, scholarships, cover girl title, trips, other prizes, and invitations to compete for the National Title in California. It’s always a blast!
As a pageant attendee and mom of a past child pageant contestant we also created this site to assist first time pageant moms and participants with their first pageant. Seasoned pageant contestants can benefit as well as this web site is dedicated to providing quality pageant child information, free resources and more. Pageant participation is hard work and contestants have to want it. If the contestant’s heart is not in it then, it will be a complete waste of time and money. Prepare to spend especially if, there’s travelling involved and prepare to work and be stressed and overwhelmed but it’s worth it.

Once you decide to allow your child to participate in a pageant prepare to push every thing else aside as this is serious business which will require your undivided attention. The whole process may seem short but the preparation says otherwise. This is not a time to multi-task and add on non related task. The pageant will need your undivided attention. If you really want to win the crown your focus will be pageant. You will eat, sleep, and breathe pageant during this time as this will be your focus. Everything else takes a backseat during that time.
